Blog Post Keywords not importing from Yoast

#76821
  • Hi

I just installed Rankmath, followed the setup wizard, synced search console etc, everything seemed to be working fine.

I did an SEO analysis of my site, and it said 73 keywords were missing from my 73 posts.

That freaked me out a bit so I deactivated Rankmath and reactivated Yoast, thankfully all my keywords were still there in Yoast.

I looked in the support forum, but it seems as though support solve this issue by deinstalling other plugins???

The setup wizard seemed to download from yoast, but obvs not the keywords

Is this a common problem do you know, if there was a tutorial or article on how to avoid this it’d be much appreciated!

Screenshot attached showing both yoast and rankmath, yoast has my keywords, rankmath does not, when i run seo analysis, i get the error ’73 keywords not found’ i.e. all my blog posts

Any help would be much appreciated, screenshots attached.

    Kind regards,
    Paul

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hi Michael,

Sincere apologies, could you try http://www.1000yearsofcareeradvice.com/in – the person who redesigned my site changed my wp login to this url, sorry I did not think to tell you that.

Would really appreciate if you could take a quick look?

    Kind regards,
    Paul

    Hi,

I have done the import for you and now all the focus keywords along with the other SEO data has been imported from Yoast.

Would you please give it a try and let us know if anything is missing?

    Thanks so much Uzair!!!

That seems to brought in all my keywords from Yoast, just one studid q if I could, does this mean i don’t have to do search console, site maps, and optimisation steps of the set up wizard now?

I’m just wary of breaking anything trying to follow the set up wizard steps again.

Thanks again for all your help!

    Kind regards,
    Paul

    Hello,

These settings can still be accessed in:
Search Console :Rank math > General Settings > Search Console
Sitemap Settings :Rank math > Sitemap Settings
Optimization :Rank math > Titles & Meta

However if you want to go through the setup wizard again, just head over to Rank math > Dashboard and select setup wizard. Your imported keyword settings are safe in the database so no worries. On the setup wizard, you can also skip where you don’t want to make changes. Here is a screencast for reference: https://i.rankmath.com/WZDBZt

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
