How to import Yoast Seo data after the completion of rank math setup? I forgot to import yoast seo, and automatically my yoast seo plugin was deactivated while i was setting up rank math. I have more than 100 posts published in my site but as i have setup rankmath without importing yoast seo, I lost all my keywords, images and seo rank. is there any way to import yoast seo after the whole process of setting up rankmath? I need help

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Yes, but you will override the Rank Math settings related to the imported Yoast settings (which, anyway, I guess it is what you want since you want to import them).

Right now (in Rank Math 1.0.46) seems like there is an issue importing from Yoast (we are working on a fix) so to import it you will need to rollback to Rank math 1.0.45 and after that just go to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math Dashboard > Import & Export and there look for the Yoast section and import the data.

After that, you can safely update to the latest Rank Math version.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Thank you Alberto for your quick response and valuable solution. I will surely check whether it works or not. But in order to avoid the conflict, I deactivated the rankmath temporarily and reactivated the yoast seo.

Again if I reactivate rankmath and import data from yoast seo, will it affect my alexa rank and traffic negatively? or else will it remains same?

I want to confirm one more thing, What happens if i don’t import yoast seo while setting up? How negatively it affects my site?

    Hello,

Thank you for the follow up.

If everything is set fine, even Google should not note any significant changes.

If you don’t import your data while setting up, your custom data such as your meta, schema and opengrapgh settings that was being added through Yoast might no longer be added and these settings might result to defaults for the existing posts unless you modify them manually.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

I genuinely thank you for your help Mr. Albert and Michael. I successfully imported Yoast SEO. It was smoothly done and later I rolled back to the latest version of rank math and finished my setup.

Now I want to clarify a few more queries, previously I had a plugin named simple sitemap installed in my blog and Yoast SEO too, when I set up rankmath, both simple sitemap and yoast seo were automatically deactivated. Why is it? Shall I activate them again? or shall i completely uninstall both of them now?

And can you tell me what other plugins are not necessary when i use rankmath?

    Hello,

So glad to hear the import went on fine.

Rank math detects any other plugins tat might cause a conflict in functionality and deactivates those on installation. If you wish to use the simple sitemap plugin to generate your sitemap, you can disable the sitemap module in Rank math dashboard, this won’t affect an other Rank math functionality.

As for the plugins you should disable, you should avoid plugins that seem to perform functionalities similar to what any of Rank math enabled modules is doing on your site.

If you do find some issues and suspect a conflict, please follow this troubleshooting guide:

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    Looking forward to helping you.

Okay it looks a bit complicated about the trouble process. Instead of reactivating the simple sitemap plugin, I want to try the other process.

Rank math generates xml sitemap page for my website right? So, instead of using any third party plugins to generate the sitemap, I am thinking to place the rank math generated xml sitemap into my homepage.

But I do not know how to proceed with that, can you please help me to place the rank math generated xml sitemap in my homepage.

Just help me whatever you think better to do with my xml sitemap. like, how to submit my xml sitemap to root directory of my website and placing the xml sitemap in my homepage.. help me whatever you think will be the best. Thank you.

    Hello,

You don’t need to do anything. Just enable the Rank Math’s sitemap module and everything should be working fine.

Just keep in mind Rank Math doesn’t create any sitemap file in your root directory, it uses virtual sitemaps so no file is created.

You can check it is working by navigating to https://yoursite.com/sitemap_index.xml

In fact, the only sitemap you need to add in the Google Search Console is that one, the sitemap_index.xml. With it, Google will find all your other sitemaps and will crawl your site.

    Looking forward to help you.

Yeah, That’s fine! But my question is, I want to place my https://breathetoinspire.com/sitemap_index.xml in website homepage so that it will be efficient for google to crawl my site.

Whenever any user clicks on sitemap in my homepage it should redirect to my sitemap page
    How can i do that?

    Hello,

This is not a feature in Rank math or a customization we can offer, however, I can suggest you create a page with custom CSS then import the XML data into your page
