Hi,
we have noticed after the recent update our featured image has gone and replaced with EY image when we are sharing our home page on FB or WhatsApp. https://jobsfornationals.com/
How do we fix this issue ASAP?
-
Hello,
We apologize for the inconvenience you’re experiencing with your featured image not displaying correctly when sharing your homepage on Facebook or WhatsApp.
To resolve this issue, you can set the Open Graph Thumbnail for your homepage using Rank Math. You can do this by following these steps:
-
Start by checking what your homepage is set to display under Settings → Reading → Your homepage displays.
-
If your homepage is set to display Your latest posts, you can change the homepage Open Graph thumbnail under Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta → Homepage → Homepage Thumbnail for Facebook.
Here’s a screenshot to guide you through the process:
If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to reach out to our support team directly from here.
We hope this helps!

Our home page settings are set to a specific page: https://jobsfornationals.com/
Is there a way to share a screen recording to demonstrate the issue?

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and apologize for any inconvenience caused due to that.
I have checked some of the URLs in the post section shown in the video you shared and can see that Rank Math is generating the
og:image
meta tag correctly.I can see that the
og:image
showing in the Facebook Debugger is from the Open Graph Meta Tags generated by the Blog2Social plugin. You can check the page’s source code that Rank Math already outputs the metadata correctly.
Please see the attached screenshot below:
You should check with Blog2Social plugin support, as they might be able to provide more insights on why they cannot fetch the correct image tag.
Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you.
Hello,
As a follow-up, I can see that you have reported a similar issue here: https://support.rankmath.com/ticket/blog2social-posting-meta-tags/
Can you confirm if you have added the code snippet to disable the Rank Math SEO meta tag yet?
I suggest you add the code snippet using the Code Snippet Plugin to avoid losing your customization after another update.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you have other questions to assist you further.
Thank you.
Hi Adetoya,
Thank you for your replies. No have not added the code-snippet to disable RM Meta Tags. I will reach out to Blo2Social to find out how to disable their OG Image.

Hello Danish,
Thanks for your reply.
When checking your link “https://jobsfornationals.com/” I noticed that Blog2Social and Rankmath are implementing the same “og:image” in your source code (screenshot attached).
However, if you do not want that Blog2Social implements your metadata (open graph tags and twitter cards), please be so kind as to click on “Settings” -> “Social Meta Data” and untick the the first three options below “Meta Tags Settings for Posts and Pages”.
I could imagine that you posted the EY image of your other link in the past with Blog2Social which is the reason why it’s still in your website’s source code.
Best regards
Benedikt
Hello,
Thank you for your patience.
We’ve checked your homepage, and your featured image is already being used in the Opengraph image.
Also, Blog2Social’s Opengraph tags are already removed, so you can ensure that social media applications will use your featured image from now on.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you
