It usually happens because you have in your current theme some empty or white space character at the end of the functions.php file. Could you check it?

The access still seems to have the wrong password. Please test it to confirm.
Since you are on a staging site, you can try switching your theme to check if the issue is coming from your theme. If not, you can go ahead and deactivate your plugins, one by one until you find the culprit.

The issue was coming from the polovolo colleges listing plugin. I attempted to access and check it using the plugin editor, but the plugin seems to no longer appear in the plugins list. Please check this and let us know how it goes.

that’s odd. ok. I will check that plugin as the culptrit.
It’s a little odd though that even while the plugin is not on staging, RankMath wont create the sitemap.

You’re the man! That was just enough of a tip. I wouldn’t have imagined those files being the culprit, but sure enough, there were leading spaces in a couple of the PHP files in the plugin. Thanks a lot!
