    Hello there,

search consoled warned me about several pages that where on my sitemaps but had noindex meta. Here three examples (three of them are wordpress categories, but other categories work fine):
    MOVED TO SENSITIVE DATA SECTION

I have checked rank math config and everithing seems ok:
    – Meta global in meta and titles config – set to index
    – Categories config in meta and titles – set to index
    – individual category – set to index

I have even tried to solve the problem by using worpress bar in those urls, with rank math options and mark this page as index, but after refreshing nothing has changed.

I use WP Super caché and Autoptimize, but i have tried by empting cache and also by deactivating both plugins, but it doesn’t get any better.

This is a huge problem because i have important content for seo on these pages… what can i do?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Please check when the Google cache was updated for that page:
    a.

    b.

I have checked it and it was the 11th of June so if the cache date is from before settings those pages as index, then you just have to wait for Google to re-crawl and re-index the page with the new info.

Hope that helps. If you have any further question(s), please let us know. Thank you.

    Hello again,

I am concerned that it is not a google cache issue: the code itself has noindex attribute set, and i cannot make it dissapear: in chrome when you toogle to view source – view-source:https://encontrarprestamo.com/prestamos-aval-casa/: you can find “<title>Préstamos con aval de casa – Encontrar Préstamo</title><meta name=”robots” content=”follow, noindex“/>

and no matter how i set up rank math, this attribute doesn’t change in those pages.

    Gonzalo.

    Hello,

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Without removing the added affected URLs, please include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

It is a multisite install with two sites / domains. I have added also more info regarding the second site as we have found the same exact issue.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Rank Math has an option (enabled by default) where your categories without posts assigned to them are set to no-index (to avoid a Google’s penalization due to thin content).

Once you add posts to them, they are automatically set as index.

    Looking forward to help you.

That was it! I wasn’t aware of that option.I’ve changed it and everything is ok for me now.

    Thank you very much 🙂
