Yes it works but I don’t want a general redirection to a 404. For SEO that’s better to redirect to homepage, don’t you think?
If I check homepage my link doesn’t work and redirects. Why? That’s not a missing page it shouldn’t make a redirection, no ?

The link you gave use doesn’t look like a media link and Rank Math is redirecting it to the homepage because the is_404() conditions return true on your page.
Can you please give us some more details of how you are creating the pdf links on your site. Have you added any rewrite rules to support those pdf links?

I said https://leteich-ecotourisme.fr/mon-carnet-pdf/ is outiside wordpress, not really… Sorry
https://leteich-ecotourisme.fr/mon-carnet-pdf/ is at the same level as wp-content and others (wordpress root)
https://leteich-ecotourisme.fr/mon-carnet-pdf/ points to index.php thats creates a PDF width mPDF library.
It works well without rankmath redirections active and we made no other redirections.
I feel that your redirection system does it because https://leteich-ecotourisme.fr/mon-carnet-pdf/ generated file is missing. But it’s not. It’s generating and the file is not known before…
Can we whitelist a url with your system?

Hi Jerome,
First of all, you should not blindly redirect all 404s to the homepage. It is not recommended and you should not use that. It is bad for SEO and bad for user experience.
Second, regardless of how that URL is created, it is being redirected because WordPress is recording it as a 404. That is why it is getting redirected to the homepage.
Please disable the 404 redirect to homepage to fix this.
That’s the only solution we can think of.
