  • Hi there,

    Thanks for contacting us.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

    Thank you.

Contributors can’t submit article with other STATUS apart from DRAFT… this is happening across sites

    Rank Math free

    Hello,

We tried using your contributor account and saw the issue.

Then, I enabled the Role Manager module within Rank Math and gave access to Rank Math options to the Contributor account.

It works fine afterward. Please give it a try.

If you want to change access to Rank Math options for your contributor, you can do so from WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Role Manager.

You can disable Role Manager module from WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Dashboard.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

I disabled the role manager still yet it didn’t work… But i will check your settings so as to apply it on other sites

    Hi Kingsley,

Thanks for getting back to us.

    Hi;

You guys need to do extensive testing with these plugins and yours

    Publishpress a fork of editflow
    EDITFLOW and your plugin

When your plugin and any of these is installed CONTRIBUTORS are not allowed to submit article for review button disappears. you can test with rank math and any of the plugins.

what do i do at the moment?

    Thanks

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the follow up.

I cannot reproduce this issue on my testing area, here is an example I have just created using a contributor user role:
    IMG

It is possible that the issue could be stemming from a theme conflict on your end. I can suggest that you create a vanilla test install on your localhost and only install the two plugins on one of the stock WP themes and test again.

Let me know how this goes. Thank you.

    Here

with EDIT FLOW and RANK MATH https://imgur.com/a/0euIoDZ and 2019 wp theme

    https://idi.kraftysprouts.com/

https://imgur.com/a/6Whoml0 with rank math and publishpress you can see from the sidebar the publish press logo with 2019 wp theme plesk panel and php 7.2.19

Though there is conflict with the 2 plugins i have mentioned but i believe mine is different as i have tested with default theme and no plugin active yet contributor can publish article

    Hi Kingsley,

    Thanks for the response.

I have done several tests so far but strange enough I cannot reproduce any of the issues mentioned above. I only came across an issue when using the classic editor plugin where some date errors are reported from the Publishpress plugin but these do not affecting the saving of new post with the pending review status.

Does you last statement confirm that you can now publish posts with the contributor role?
I would suggest that you enable debugging mode on your end and check whether there will be some errors reported. You could also give us access to a staging area of your site where we can perform more tests without affecting the traffic on your site.

    Thank you.
