Remove Category Pages

    Hi

    I’ve just done a google site:url check and I still have pages appearing from Categories that I’ve set. I thought I had these all de-indexed (hidden). But I can’t find the exact setting in RankMath – and the settings I have found, clearly aren’t hiding them, as some are still there.

    Is there something I’m doing wrong?

    Example page: https://www.tansleyphotography.co.uk/wedding-venues-hampshire/oakley-hall-hotel/

    wedding-venues-hampshire is the category and I don’t want anything in categories to appear, as I have a dedicated page to that term.

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    Rank Math doesn’t have a setting to hide the categories but the “/category/” on the URLs.

    Usually you change the permalinks in WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks to don’t display the category in the URL. That is what you should do if you want to display the URL as you said. Just beware changing permalinks in a live site is dangerous for your SEO and you should be ready to do several redirections if you find any 404 issues.
