Hello,
I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with excluding paths on the 404 Monitor. It seems that you’ve added the term “wp” to be excluded from the 404 Monitor, but an old “wp-content” in the 404 is not getting deleted.
Based on the information provided, it seems that you’ve used the Exclude Paths feature to exclude “wp” from being logged in the 404 Monitor. However, it’s important to note that the Exclude Paths feature in Rank Math SEO Plugin has specific options for exclusion, such as “Exact,” “Contains,” “Starts With,” “End With,” and “Regex.”
It’s possible that the exclusion rule you’ve set up might not be capturing all instances of “wp” as expected. To ensure that future instances of “wp” are excluded, you may need to review and adjust the exclusion rule.
Regarding excluding bad redirects such as “.php,” “.css,” “.js,” and “wp-content,” you can use the Exclude Paths feature to set up rules for these exclusions. For example, you can use the “Contains” option to exclude URLs containing “.php,” “.css,” “.js,” and “wp-content.”
If you have a large number of URLs to exclude manually, you may want to consider using regular expressions (Regex) to define exclusion paths. This will allow you to create more complex exclusion rules without having to manually check each URL.
If you need further assistance with setting up exclusion paths or have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to our support team by clicking here.
I hope this helps!

How to Monitor 404 Errors with Rank Math SEO Plugin
Rank Math General Settings
Hello,
Could you please specify if our answer isn’t helpful and if so, what exactly are you trying to do?
I want your 404 Monitor tool to be for beginners: Show URLs of pages, posts, tags and images only. What is the point of knowing php, js, css? At most I add redirects and they will create other problems if they are reported.
I’m a beginner, I don’t understand what I’m going to do and having too much freedom thanks to the 404 Monitor tool can cause big problems for the site.
For experts, there is the advanced mode of the tool or whatever you call it ;P
Hello,
Thank you for your patience.
Please note that the 404s in the 404 Monitor do not always mean you need to fix them every time. These can be generated by errors caused by malicious users, spammers, and bad bots.
When you fix 404 errors for some time, you’ll develop a sense of which errors seem like genuine errors, and which don’t. Misspellings, typos, and links to pages that don’t exist on your website (anymore) are classic signs of genuine errors. These, you should fix.
Here’s a link for more information on how to deal with them:

Hope that helps.
