How to have the same title as the posts in the headline? Each post is slightly different, as they have the name of the game company.
-
Hello, we apologize for the inconvenience you’re experiencing. To have the same title as the posts in the headline, you can use variables to dynamically generate the title based on the post content. In Rank Math, you can use variables to add any data from the post to the title.
Here’s how you can do it:
- Click the downward arrow button on the right end side of the Title field in the Title & Meta section.
- Select variables from the options provided.
By using variables, you can ensure that each post has a slightly different title, such as including the name of the game company. This way, you can create unique and relevant titles for each post.
If you need further assistance with this, please feel free to ask.

General Tab in Meta Box of Rank Math SEO PluginHello,
You should use the
%title%
variable in the headline field so it will match your post title. Here’s a link for more information:

I tried this first, but it’s obviously incorrect. There is the h1, not the title tag.
Hello,
Possibly, we do not fully understand what you’re referring to, but the
%title%
variable would show your Post’s title. If, say, you want to show your title alongside the site name, you can do that with these variables:%title% %sep% %sitename%
.If this is not what you’re referring to, then please provide more details on what you want to achieve and we’ll be happy to help.
Thank you for choosing Rank Math!
I use this variable for posts Play Game %title% By %sep% %sitename%.
After the by, I manually add the company name. But in the headline this cannot be done automatically.
Hello,
Please note that the headline option is meant to be the default value for the schema you selected for that post type in the Titles & Meta settings.
Can you please let us know in which area you have expected that headline to show up in your website?
Looking forward to helping you.
I expected to have the same title tag. Instead I will have to copy one by one and insert it into the headline. I hope I’m wrong, but at the moment I haven’t found an ideal solution.
I repeat: since the title tag changes slightly each time, simply copying the variables once is not enough.
Hello,
Thank you for your patience.
In this case, if you are using the custom title for your posts, then you should use the
%seo_title%
variable in the headline. That variable ensures the headline in the schema aligns with the title you have set in Rank Math.
Hope that helps.
But it not works or you should fix the trouble. I’ll have H1 in this method. Not the title tag that we’ll see on SERP.
At least, it’s so on preview when I try variables on setting.
Hello,
What you see in the preview doesn’t always match the data in the frontend when the page loads because some of it might not be entirely accessible in the settings pages.
The variable
%seo_title%
will essentially copy the SEO title that you set in the snippet editor of our plugin and output it.Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
To make sure I understand correctly, what results do I have in the headline?

2- Single Post Title
3- Single Post Title modifiedHello,
The result will be the one you have customized or modified in the Snippet Editor while editing your posts
If you have not made any changes/customization in the Snippet editor, then your headline will be the default title you have set in the Single Post title (from your screenshot).
Hope that helps.
