    Hi,
I read the article on attachment redirection. But if I have a pdf on a post I need to see the pdf alone, so is this option working for all attachments? or only for images?
If I have a few pdf in the website, should I keep it disabled then? I understand that if I keep it enabled, I won’t be able to open the pdf in a separate page. Am I right?

    Thanks
    Alessandra

  • Hello,

We appreciate your interest in Rank Math and your question about attachment redirection for PDFs. The Redirect Attachments option in Rank Math is designed to work for all types of media attachments, including PDFs, not just images. When enabled, it will redirect all attachments to the post or page they belong to.

If you have a PDF in a post and need to view the PDF alone, you can still do so even with the Redirect Attachments option enabled. The redirection will only occur when the PDF is accessed through its attachment page. You will still be able to open the PDF in a separate page directly from the post or page where it is attached.

If you have multiple PDFs on your website, you can keep the Redirect Attachments option enabled to ensure that they are redirected to the original post or page. This will help improve your website’s SEO and user experience.

If you have any further questions or need assistance with anything else, please feel free to ask. We’re here to help!
