  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. Iā€™m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

In this case, to figure out how Google is discovering those URLs, you should use the URL inspection tool of your GSC account to check the URLs and check the referring page where are they coming from.

You can track those URLs via the referring page to determine how Google crawled them.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Thanks, Reinelle.

    Here is one result:
https://prnt.sc/jGewXv7TsVhE this page when inspected shows: https://prnt.sc/88vRlM79YmQk
    Here’s another: https://prnt.sc/0NaRItshnYiO

    When checking those add-to-cart links:
    https://prnt.sc/geX_CsFEBqr3
    https://prnt.sc/CM5ubPwP2lqY

    When checking the product-page links:
    https://prnt.sc/tiFkqGnn6hym
    https://prnt.sc/qaGq1KeKt5DL

But the issue isn’t really what other page may or may not refer to them, right? They shouldn’t be index anyway, as per robots.txt and the RankMath settings I sent in my first message. Am I missing something?

Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you šŸ™‚

    Hello,

The add to cart links and other query parameters are fine since the referring site is owned by you. It is a matter of waiting for Google to deindex them since you have already set the robots.txt.

However for the first screenshot you shared where it shows a referring page, can you please confirm if you know that domain?

If not, then this may be a bad backlink or a breach in your web server.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hi šŸ™‚

If you mean this one https://prnt.sc/0NaRItshnYiO then no, I am not aware of this domain.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience.

Since you’re not aware of the referring URL, then that could be an internal site search spam.

However, your site search is already set to noindex.

In this case, we recommend that you do a complete security audit of the website. You can also check this article on how to secure your WordPress website:

    Hope that helps.
