sitemap shows no discovered pages

    We’ve checked your sitemap, but it is working fine.

    Also, you should submit your sitemap index only on your Google Search Console account:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/submit-sitemap-to-google/

    Moreover, when the count of the Discovered URLs is zero or does not match your actual sitemap in your Google Search Console, it means Google didn’t use the sitemap to find the URLs.

    Please note that each time Google uses a sitemap to find a URL, the count of the Discovered URLs increases by one.

    It mostly happens when you have good internal linking or use the Instant Indexing plugin.

    So what your trying to point out is that, there nothing wrong with my sitemap. And that I should not be worried about 0 discovered pages in console?

    But from my simple research, i found that if you have 0 discovered pages showing in console, none of your articles can rank. I have seen that on 3 websites.

    And when sitemap was fixed, there rankings regained.

    This is quite normal and you shouldn’t be alarmed.

    This only means that Google found another way of indexing/finding your pages. If you have done this multiple times, it means that Google doesn’t need to find your URLs via the Sitemaps.

    The Sitemaps only act as a guide, but it’s left to Google to decide whether to use them or not to crawl your site.

    If there are any issues reported on your URLs that prevent them from being indexed or affect your rankings, then you should see them in the coverage section report of your GSC:
