Hello Team, Firstly very sorry to bother you guys but instead of going through many articles, I am not able to understand following settings

    1. What to choose in single page/post meta title and meta settings so that it will only display what i put in rank math snippet of that particular page or post’s title.

For example – I want SEO title of my page or post like “Best Agra Places to Visit – Call Us”
and I put same in Rank Math Snippet, apart of that i have different title, title of website, etc.

    2. What to choose in single page/post meta title and meta setting so that it will only display what i put in rank math snippet of the particular page or post’s Description. I only want to show my written content in snippet but in case it was missing then i should show anything out of content or auto-generate.

    3. Not able to understand the meaning of excerpt term.

I hope you will understand and revert back to me as soon as possible.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

    1. Do you mean the single post/page in Rank Math > Titles & Meta settings? If you’re using a custom meta title for each of them, then you can leave the Titles & Meta a default value for that:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/titles-and-meta/#single-posts-title

The settings there would be a default title if you have not set a custom title in the Meta box while editing those posts/pages

    Title

    2. With meta description, it is also the same as using a custom description as a priority (while editing the post/page). If you don’t have any custom description, then you can use the %excerpt% variable as a default in Titles & Meta settings.

    3. The %excerpt% variable shows the post excerpt as a priority to your meta description. If that is missing from your posts, then it fetches the first 160 characters from its content:

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.

Please try to reply me as soon as possible.

    Hello,

The meta you have set in our plugin is indeed correct and already shown on the page source of the page (see screenshot below). It is just Google hasn’t acknowledged your custom description for a certain search phrase.

Please note that it is a pretty common thing with Google these days. It happens with 70% of the results that even if everything’s fine, Google decides to show a different meta information for your search keyword, there is nothing you can do as Google sometimes ignores the custom meta info altogether and show something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need my assistance with anything else.
