It’s clear I had a problem on rankmath code and caused more than one problem on it. It’s very likely I corrupted some file with “my experiments” rather than a virus or malware.
Could I reinstall rankmath source code without losing all settings?

Yes, you can proceed with re-installing the plugin, the settings, and SEO data will not be removed upon re-install since all these data reside in your website’s database.
Also, please follow the steps below:
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:

3. Apply the following filter code to your site.
add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');

At the moment, there are physical sitemap files in your website directory and this is overriding our dynamically generated sitemaps. (See screenshot in the sensitive data section).
Removing those XML files and following the steps here again should help you resolve the issue.
