Hello,
Thank you so much for getting in touch.
For the FREE version of Rank Math, there’s no pre-built FAQ Schema as this is only available on the PRO version. However, you can still use the FAQ block on your site. This will add the FAQ schema automatically on your page. Unfortunately, this isn’t available in the UX builder.
Kindly check this article here regarding the FAQ schema markup:
https://rankmath.com/kb/faq-schema-block/#schema-generator
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need my assistance with anything else.
Because we are using UX builder for the design of our pages, the FAQ schema block looks really bad. Will hiding the block and then adding FAQs in UX builder work so that search engines show it in search?
Also, do I need to have the free plugin and pro plugin installed if I upgrade to Rank Math Pro? Or is it possible to deactivate the free plugin after Pro is activated?
Hello,
Yes, you can add the FAQ block for schema and your builder to add the data on the front end. However, you may need to ensure that Rank Math only adds the FAQ schema.
The point is that all the content available for Google to see (schema data) should be visible to visitors as well to comply with Google’s guidelines.
On the other hand, please note that the PRO Version is built on top of the free version to keep the plugins robust and lightweight. You will need both of them to be installed and activated at the same time so the PRO version will work.

Hope that helps.
Thank you.
I came here because I have the exact same problem.
For the FREE version of Rank Math, there’s no pre-built FAQ Schema as this is only available on the PRO version.
If that’s the case then please update your help articles. For instance, it says here that the FAQ schema is in fact part of the free version. The fact that other premium-only schemas are shown greyed out and with a PRO badge, while FAQ and How-To are missing entirely, only increases the confusion.
Hello @leonhoos,
Thank you so much for getting in touch. We do apologize for the confusion here.
Yes, it is listed as one of the free options since adding a FAQ block will give your page the FAQ schema.
As seen on this link right here:
https://rankmath.com/kb/rich-snippets/#faq
It also states that “In the Free version, you can add the FAQ Schema only by using the FAQ by Rank Math block from the Block Editor.”
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need my assistance with anything else.
