  • Hello,

Thank you so much for getting in touch.

Can you please explain what you mean that the pages are indexed but the videos aren’t? The videos are on the pages, right? Or do you mean you do not see the video thumbnail on videos?

In that case, did you enable the video Schema option? We have a guide you can follow to do that:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/add-video-schema-to-existing-posts/

It would be great if you can share a few examples or screenshots with us so we are on the same page.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

    Hello,

To explain further let’s take the example of this URL https://vargasavourrecipes.com/chocolate-banana-cake/

Google search console shows that this URL is indexed, this post has one of my youtube videos embedded, but when I see Google search console it is not present under the video pages, My expectation is that since this post has a video it should be indexed as video page too?

Please note I am on the free version just now so I do not have the video schema option, but I am not sure if that option will resolve this issue.

I am unable to paste the screenshot here.

    Thanks

    Hello,

You can use this tool to share any screenshots you would like to share: https://imgur.com/

I checked the example page you shared and I can confirm there isn’t any video schema being added. Video schema is beneficial if you want the search engine to determine that your content has videos in it.

Since you are using the Free version of Rank Math, you can remove the article schema and replace it with video schema if you really wanted to optimize your page for video search.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any other questions.

    Hello,

Yes, you are right there is no video schema added to my posts, I would like to optimize the page for both recipe and video search, is it possible to use both recipe and video schema for my posts? my post contains both recipe instructions and an embedded youtube video.

    Thanks

    Hi there,

Thank you for your reply. We are glad to assist you with your query.

We understand that you want to optimize your page for both Recipe and Video schema. This is possible with Rank Math, but you need to upgrade to Rank Math PRO to use both recipe and video schema for your posts.

Rank Math PRO allows you to add multiple schema types to your posts, including recipe and video. You can also use the Schema Generator to easily configure the schema settings for each type. Rank Math PRO also automatically detects and adds video schema to your posts if you embed YouTube or Vimeo videos in your content.

You can learn more about how to use recipe and video schema with Rank Math PRO from these guides:

We hope this helps you achieve your goals. If you have any other questions or issues, please feel free to contact us again. We are always here to help you.

Thank you for choosing Rank Math. Have a great day!

    Hi Great,
Thanks for your response, I am glad to know that it is possible to use both schemas on the same post, I will upgrade to pro, however, before I do so please could you confirm, once I add the video schema alongside the recipe schema, then the post can be indexed by Google as Video posts too, please see attached screenshot currently the posts are not indexed as video page, the one page that is indexed as video page does not exist anymore.

    Hi there,

We appreciate your interest in Rank Math PRO. It’s a great choice for optimizing your website for both Recipe and Video schema.

To answer your question, yes, adding a valid Video Schema to your post will help Google recognize that it has a video content. However, there are some other factors that you need to consider as well. For example, you need to make sure that your video meets the technical requirements, such as file format, size, and resolution. You can find more details about these requirements from this link.

Please note that Google will only show the video information for the pages that have already been indexed. So, if your page is new or not crawled yet, you may not see the video information right away. You can use the URL Inspection tool in Google Search Console to check the index status of your page and request indexing if needed.

We hope this clarifies your query. Let us know if you need help with anything or run into problems while upgrading or applying the Video and Recipe schemas. We are always happy to lend a hand.

Thank you for choosing Rank Math. Have a fantastic day!

    Hello Great,
