The canonical URL declared by the user is incorrect

Maybe I figured out why I never get traffic to my website and the pages keep getting listed in the search console. I’ve noticed that the old or redirected URLs still have the canonical URL pointing to them and therefore Search Console doesn’t validate the fixes.

A week ago I noticed an anomaly with the redirects: I changed the url of the categories and then I put the old url back. Categories had an infinite loop error and would not load. It was Rank Math that didn’t remove the changes.

I think there is a similar issue with canonical url, noindex and other settings of your plugin. I have Cloudflare.

  • I did a test on the wrong url using an online program and it gave the correct canonical url. Why has Search Console sucked so badly on two sites for 2 years? I asked half the world but they blame me without helping to understand how to move forward.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

Could you please share the affected URL/s so we can also check the canonical?

Meanwhile, setting a canonical is different from noindexing in Rank Math. Here’s our guide on how to use the canonical URL:

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

I fixed it with hosting. This was an IP issue and therefore Search Console was not seeing the updated canonical URL. Now let’s see if Search Console finally does its job and I will have keywords that bring traffic.
