instant index http vs https

    I’m not sure if this is an issue or not. But I didn’t see it documented anywhere. So I wanted to check.

    I have a multisite (as subdomains). In google webmaster tools the correct https is confirmed (for subdomain) as well as the domain property for the main url.

    In instant index. When i go to manually submit a url. It always defaults to the http version of the url and never the https version. Is this an issue I should look more into or is this a non issue?

    Since it’s my first day using instant index. I do not know if it works for me or not yet. But wanted to confirm the behavior i’m seeing.

    Have you verified the correct version of your website on Google? Please check if you have verified the https (or http) version of your website. If there is a mismatch, please fix that. You should also ensure that you added your service account to the correct version, if not, please follow the steps outlined here to setup the indexing plugin with Rank math: https://rankmath.com/blog/google-indexing-api/

    I did verify the correct one. I also provided a screenshot of that in my initial outreach in the sensitive information section.

    Hi,

    We default to what you have set at WordPress Dashboard > Settings > General.

    Make sure it is https:// as well.

    With that said, if both http and https versions are working, there is nothing to be worried about. If you face any issue though, then it would be a cause of concern.
