Hi, I have purchased a domain name and set up a website. The topic of the website is about blogging and WordPress guide.
After that I noticed the domain was previously used by someone for some shopping or something like this. The domain is a expired domain. And the domain has good impression on Google also. They have registered the Google My Business also. But, now they closed there business and all.

Still when I search with the domain name without the TLD , Google is showing results for the previous impressions.

How Can I remove the previous history from Google and start to indexing my new contents on Google.

    the domain is: https://positivegeek.com

I have set up Search Console, Sitemaps for Google, Bing and Yandex from the beginning.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

You will need to verify your domain with google to claim the domain ownership and control then google can allow you to modify any listing added by that domain. You can then use your control to modify or remove data added under that domain in google business or the search console.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Thank you. I have already verified the domain with Search Console.
What are the other processes to verify the domain with Google?
It will very kind of you if you give information regarding this.

    Again thank you very much.

    Hello,

Here you have the official guide of Google with all the verification methods: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/9008080?hl=en

About removing previous search results, you could wait until Google no longer finds them or you could set up (for example with Rank Math), 301 redirections of those search results to (for example) your homepage so Google realizes those results are now your homepage and removes them.

    Looking forward to help you.
