Auto-select deepest product category term as primary term

    Hi,

    I’m currently working on a WooCommerce website that’s linked to Lightspeed stock. If a product gets added to Lightspeed, the product gets pushed to WooCommerce automatically. I’d like to automatically set the deepest product category term as primary term, so permalinks are correct.

    Example:
    Product category
    Product subcategory
    Product subcategory (automatically set as primary term)

    Would this be possible, and if so, how would I achieve this?

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

    By default, our plugin sets the first category that you select for your product as the primary category.

    If you want to change it, you will have to edit the product and do it manually as there is no option to automate the selection of the lowest level as the primary term.
