Hello,
Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
There could be various reason for image not appearing in WhatsApp
1. Size of the image is more than 300KB
2. Dimension of the image is more than the recommended values ( Size of image as recommneded is 1200×630 in pixels )
Also, please share the affected URLs.
Looking forward to helping you
Hi Sandeepan
All of my competition use high res images, particularly for the feature image, that’s standard in my industry. If 1200 * 630 px is the max size this can cope with you may as well not waste your time looking. This is strange though as I had a developer put the schema in place for this and it was working. I can’t remember when it stopped working and whether it was before or after I started using rankmath but I know it can work. Is the limit your talking about a rankmath limit or a wordpress limit. It doesn’t make sense that it would be a wordpress limit because as I say the developer had it working before.
Kind regards
Andrew
Hello,
WhatsApp, LinkedIn, and Instagram use the OpenGraph tags added for Facebook to generate the link preview. So, the settings you will set for Facebook will also be used for the other social media sites.
You can read more about it here: https://rankmath.com/kb/open-graph-meta-tags/#og-image
Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
Thank you.
I see so the limit is actually set by Facebook ?
Why arent my snippets working on google though ?
Hello,
Would you please share the website / affected URLs with us to check on the issue further?
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you
If you will google this page ‘Escape to Rural Mallorca in Villa Can Totxa’ you will see the snippet without the feature image.
Hello,
Please note that we don’t have any control over how images in the SERP results are displayed, and search engines display them as per their will and it mostly depends on the keyword search term and the website authority.
In this case, you can try to add relevant ALT text to the images/featured image, and chances are search engines will refer to it.
Here’s a link for more information:

Hope that helps.
Thank you.
Thanks for the advice. I already use alt text, what else are you suggesting in that document?
Hello,

Hello,
With the article my colleague shared, we are suggesting these things:
1. Use of high quality image. Pixelated images or bad quality images doesn’t do any good. With high quality image we need to be sure that we don’t upload high file size images which in turn hamper your page speed.
2. Set an ALT for all the image (which you already have)
3. Set a featured image. Google doesn’t index an image based on the standalone image URL but instead, based on the page from where it is inserted. So we recommend you to include your images on the relevant pages on your website. If it is a primary image for your post or page, you can easily set it as a Featured Image in WordPress. To set a featured image, navigate to your Post settings and click on the Featured image section to add an image.
4. Use Descriptive File Names. One of the best ways to optimize your images for Google image search is to use descriptive file names. The file names should accurately describe what is in the image, as search engines use this information to understand the content better.
To properly understand these points, we encourage you to go through these article:

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
Thank you
As I said to yur colleague I’ve already done all of these things and I just dont have time to read through this at the moment.
If there is nothing else you can do to help I’ll keep this on file.
Hello,
As you’ve already followed and did all the suggested things, then we just have to wait patiently for Google to index the images.
If you have any other concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime to assist you further.
Thank you.
I did all those things before you mentioned them. If the next step is waiting I’ve already been waiting for probably more than a year
