Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Can you please confirm if you want to redirect the URL from non-www to www? If so, then the Rank Math redirection will not work in this case. To achieve this kind of redirection, you’ll have to add this redirection to your .htaccess
file.
For more details, you can check this URL: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-redirect-non-www-urls-to-www/
But if you just want to redirect the URL without changing the prefix then you can try to add the redirection like the following one:
Source URL: /services/
Destination URL: https://www.designideas.co.za/graphic-design-services/
Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you.
Hi
YES, in most cases the redirects are mostly http to https…
I understand this now has to be done via the .htaccess file, but surely Rank Math should be able to do this as its a basic requirement, especially when updating an older site.
Hello,
As you have SSL installed, doing server level or .htaccess redirect from http to https is recommended. Though redirecting single URL from http to https can be done from Rank Math and I have tested it out on my local environment as well. Though redirecting from non-www to www should be done from .htaccess.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
Thank you
