Google Shows A Different Meta Description For My Site

    Hi there,

    I’ve been trying to optimise my website’s SEO when I realised that at least one of the links on my website doesn’t match what’s shown in Google.

    I know there’s information on this link, but I still couldn’t figure out how to solve it.

    The strange thing is that when I analyse the page with a chrome extension I can see that the meta fields are as I placed in RankMath, so I’m not sure why is it not the same in Google.

    The last cached version is from the 26th of March 2023 and I had the page ready by the beginning of the month.

    Any suggestions on what I should do?

    The URL in question is this, and the page shows on the first page of google by searching “sbi UK marketing”.

    https://rankmath.com/kb/different-meta-title-and-description/#meta-description-rewrites, It’s solely decided by Google whether they want to choose your description to show or not.

    It’s good to remind that, Google sometimes ignores the custom meta info altogether and shows something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better. In this case, the best you can do is optimize your meta description to try and match the intent of the search/keyword.
