    Rank Math free

    Hi,

I need some help in configuring Rank Math (Free). I figured with Sitemap it should work… but lately every search in Google, didn’t turn up the products as expected.

For Example, this product : Silverstone HELA 1200R 1200W

    Full name : Silverstone HELA 1200R 1200W 80+Platinum ATX3.0 Power Supply – SST-HA1200R-PM

Its showing up for our Competitors like Video PRO and Electronics Crazy, but our website’s is not showing.

Maybe my configuration in Rank Math is not correct or insufficient?

Is it possible to assist on this?

    Thanks.

    Regards

    Faustine

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I checked the product you’ve shared and I can see that it is currently not indexed on Google because seems that your full website is currently set to no index. Can you please confirm if you’ve checked the Search engine visibility option at WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Reading? If so, please uncheck the box from there so Google can index your site.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Ah! No wonder.

    Have unchecked that.

Because previously there were some issues with the site and it was restored from my staging site.

Could you double confirm on your side if this resolves the issue?

    Thanks.

(Might go for Rank math pro soon for more SEO help.. if it will help further?)

    Hello,

I checked your site and I can see that, your website is now set to index:

Please wait a while so that Google can crawl and index the URL on SERPs.

However, please note that ranking on Google depends on so much more than just your on-page optimization. You could have the perfect article and still struggle to break the top 10 in SERPs. Here are some of the factors Google considers when ranking you:

    1. Your website’s authority
    2. Your content’s quality and how better it is than the other article currently ranking.
    3. How competitive the keyword is.
    4. How many backlinks you have and if they are better than what the other guys ranking for that keyword have.
    5. Your website’s crawlability.
    6. Frequency of new content and content updates.
    7. So much more that there is a dedicated blog post on it by Brian Dean 🙂 https://backlinko.com/google-ranking-factors

I would recommend that you keep at it and work on acquiring more links to break into the top SERPs. Here are a few resources I think you will find useful while devising an SEO strategy.

    1. Keyword Research: https://mythemeshop.com/blog/keyword-research/
    2. Identify Keyword Intent: https://www.semrush.com/blog/how-to-identify-intent-in-search/

    5. Off-Page SEO: https://mythemeshop.com/blog/how-to-do-seo-off-page-optimization/
    6. Building Backlinks: https://www.rankxl.com/outreach-link-building/

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.

The thing is this… The site is mostly product pages under Woocommerce with not much product information. (Only have Product names) – 4000 close to 5000 products now.

There are some articles in Posts or Pages with short announcements from the company or policies on eshop matters.

So it will be kind of difficult to achieve good SEO?

So I don’t need Rank Math Pro?

    Thanks.

    Hello,

With almost no content, it’s hard to rank the products in Google as we say in SEO terms “content is king”.

I randomly tested few products, though they have short description, few of them have the images missing. You can use the Rank Math Free to add Schema for the products and see how it fairs in Google. Whenever time permits, you can add few lines of description and then go with Rank Math Pro to unleash it’s power to get better ranking.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thank you

Images, we are progressively adding in. But description will be tough though.

Will a few liners do without the full description of the product? (No joke with 4000+ products)

Excerpt/Short description is with Warranty information only.

    RE: Silverstone HELA 1200R 1200W 80+Platinum ATX3.0 Power Supply – SST-HA1200R-PM

Seems its still not indexed yet by Google.. can’t see it on Google page when I searched… oh dear.

Re: to add Schema for the products

I’m not sure what you mean when you say Add Schema for the products. .. Could you enlignten more on that please? Do we have to go into each product to do that ? Mind you, its 4000+ products… oh dear..

    Hello,

I ran Google search using site operator and I can see 2,490 links are indexed by Google. Please check sensitive data section for reference image.

To rank for specific keyword i.e. Silverstone HELA 1200R 1200W 80+Platinum ATX3.0 Power Supply – SST-HA1200R-PM it takes time and moreover, requires on-page optimization.

As far as Schema is concerned, please go through this article to set the schema for products and other posts / pages : https://rankmath.com/kb/rich-snippets/

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thank you

ON PAGE Optimization — I’m so sorry.. I’m really noob in SEO, could you enlighten on that ? — (Hopefully with just a few liners that I added yesterday.. will help?) — testing this before I proceed to do 4000+ products…

    2) RE: Schema please go through this article to set the schema for products and other posts / pages : https://rankmath.com/kb/rich-snippets/

I saw the Tutorial on how to set up Schema.. which is essentially all products data — prices, SKU, etc. If I get the Rank Math PRO, I would have to setup GTIN, which essentially for us is the bar code right? (this is SKU in our POS and Woocommerce).

Step 1 : in the link you mentioned — Schema module is already activated.

Step 2 : Schema Type for Posts and Pages — Article, Products — Wooocommerce Products is selected.

So for Posts (= News / Promos / Pricelist ) – Pages (= News, Shop, FAQ, Contact us, About us, Delivery, Payment methods etc). — ARTICLE SCHEMA is correct ?

The other thing is, some of the Pages might be using Elementor to create… so will it not be able to see the Schema markup? —

In the link, I noticed the difference between Rank Math vs Rank math pro…

Step 3 : Posts and Pages
** Taking a look at my FAQ page (Elementor created FAQ) — I noticed Schema Generator doesn’t have FAQ schema for Rank Math Free…. So in order to use FAQ Schema, I have to use WordPress Blocks rather than Elementor?

Sorry for the long reply.. need help to the right path for Rank math. 🙂 Thanks!

    Hello,

    1. The On-page optimization we refer to is Rank Math’s content analysis tests that show scores upon editing your products/pages.

Here’s a link for more information:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/score-100-in-tests/

    2. If I get the Rank Math PRO, I would have to setup GTIN, which essentially for us is the bar code right?

Yes, you can set up your product’s GTIN in Rank Math PRO:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/gtin-mpn-woocommerce/#configuring-global-identifier

So for Posts (= News / Promos / Pricelist ) – Pages (= News, Shop, FAQ, Contact us, About us, Delivery, Payment methods etc). — ARTICLE SCHEMA is correct ?

Yes, that is correct for those pages.

The other thing is, some of the Pages might be using Elementor to create… so will it not be able to see the Schema markup?

Rank Math is already compatible with Elementor. You can see the same Rank Math options in the builder as well:
    https://rankmath.com/blog/elementor-seo/#add-schema-markup

So in order to use FAQ Schema, I have to use WordPress Blocks rather than Elementor?

Yes, in the Rank Math Free version, you can only add the schema by using the FAQ Blocks. However, with Rank Math PRO, you can add it manually or use the Elementor Accordion element to apply the FAQ Schema:
    https://rankmath.com/blog/elementor-seo/#faq-accordion

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.
