Question about SEO on Elementor Templates

I have created a website where I have created a location pages for SEO. As there are a lot of pages, to save time I have applied a template page to all of the location pages under a parent page. This has saved a lot of time, however Rank Math SEO is not picking up the template applied to the page and the SEO scores on these pages are quite low (64/100). Each page has the location as a keyword and a featured image with the keyword in the Alt tag. I have used a paragraph of text in the wordpress editor and applied that to each page individually.
However, rank math is only picking up the one little paragraph and a featured image.. whereas the front end shows a whole webpage with multiple images, keywords etc. This is not showing up in my sitemap and I was wondering if there was a way to fix this?

I have tried adding code to the theme file editor to allow rank math to recognise and index templates, but this still has not worked unfortunately.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

SEO score purely depends upon the content that’s available in the page. As Elementor templates only have the affect on the frontend view, hence, they aren’t counted in the SEO score.

    About the locations:
Can you please follow these steps?
    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

    That should fix the issue.

Please let us know if that does not. We are here to assist.

    Hi Sandeepan,

Thanks for your response. I’m not sure how I would do that as I have assigned the template to apply to direct child pages of the location parent page: https://stratuslegalsolutions.co.uk/locations

    Hi Sandeepan,

I have done as you asked and the sitemap has split into 2 with the templates in their own sitemap.

    https://stratuslegalsolutions.co.uk/elementor_library-sitemap.xml
The first item on the sitemap above is the one I want to apply to all the location pages.

    Hello,

I can see the “locations/dover” showing up in the sitemap. Please refer to sensitive data section for reference image.

As far as template is concerned you can assign the Elementor template to the location pages.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thank you

    hi Sandeepan,

Sorry I think there’s been a misunderstanding. I know that all the location pages are in the sitemap, that is fine. But the template is not being recongised in terms of SEO score for each page. I am worried this will effect overall SEO when it comes to google searching. If you look on the Sitemap you can see each page only has 1 image. Each page should have 8 images as the pages are the same as the homepage with a difference in keywords.
I would like to know if google crawls the site, will it only recognise the 1 paragraph of content within the gutenberg and featured image.. or will it recognise the template applied to the front end of the pages?
I have set the focus keywords for each page, but the score is low as rankmath is not recognising the template as the page.
Do you get what I mean?

    Thanks

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math for help with showing Elementor template SEO score on your store page.

Since you are using templates, you won’t be able to see the directory score of the template to the actual page where it was applied since Rank Math will only focus its scores in the page itself, not the templates. But, please be advised that these tests are just guidelines and one does not need to follow them religiously.

I would like to know if google crawls the site, will it only recognise the 1 paragraph of content within the gutenberg and featured image.. or will it recognise the template applied to the front end of the pages?

Google will be Ranking the page based on the frontend view. Even though Rank Math is not recognising the Elementor template as explained above, Google will use the frontend view and it will see that the page has 8 images and lots of text.

Hope that helps. If there’s anything else we can help you with, please let us know.
