In this case, please check if you are using a Firewall as it may prevent saving the changes.
If you are using a Firewall, please whitelist this route:
/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta

Thank you, Reinelle. My colleague helped with this, and it seems like this fix has resolved the issue. I have another question though. Not sure if this is something RankMath can advise, but I see a “custom SEO image” option below the post – does that function the same as the social image?

Rank Math doesn’t adds any option below the post for any adding any “custom SEO image”. All the option for SEO is in Rank Math snippet section. I think it’s been added by the theme developer and posting a question to their forum will be beneficial.

Yes, you can use the Import and Export option to transfer your current Rank Math settings to your future website:

However, the metadata (titles, descriptions, keywords, etc.) can only be transferred via CSV file using Rank Math PRO:

Following social meta are part of the export CSV.
social_facebook_thumbnail
social_facebook_title
social_facebook_description
Similar meta tags are available for twitter.
Hence, these are parts of the exported meta data. Please be advised that this feature is available only for Pro Version
