Difference between Index Status Tab info and GSC - Support

Hi,

There is a weird difference between what “Index Status Tab” says about the number of my pages in the “Presence on Google” section and what I see in my Google Search Console!?

Index Status Tab (Presence on Google section) shows: 7 Submitted and indexed | 1 Page with redirect
But in my Google Search Console (in Indexing Section) I see: 18 indexed pages!?

Just to mention, I did “Refresh Tokens” steps completely as described in “What To Do When Rank Math Analytics Shows Zero Search Traffic” and the last step of it was “Rebuild Index for Analytics”, nothing changed!

I inserted my website address in Sensitive Data section, It might be helpful.

Please head over to WordPress dashboard > Tools > Scheduled Actions > Pending.

or you can try visiting the following URL:

https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin/tools.php?page=action-scheduler&status=pending
```
Run the rank_math/analytics/data_fetch scheduled action and wait for the data fetch to complete.

This is how it should look like:

After that, please allow Rank Math a while to fetch data from Google Analytics and you should be able to see the updated data on Rank Math Analytics dashboard.

As I said earlier, I went through the “Refresh Tokens” part of this “What to Do When Rank Math Analytics Shows Zero Search Traffic” completely several times. Every time my last steps were: fetching data (exactly according to your suggestion) and then at the end of fetching data, “Rebuild Index for Analytics”.

Nothing changed! The issue still was there. Then, I came here and created this ticket.

Hi,

I did something and now the problem is solved, but I don’t understand why? What was wrong!

You know, in Rank Math Analytics settings, in “Search Console” section, in “Site” drop-down list, I had two options. The first one was my domain without https, and I thought this is the best choice and I was selected this. Today I changed it to the second one which is my complete website address (https://tafarogh.com), then after fetching data again, OK! Now, “Presence on Google” in Index Status Tab Shows the right number for my pages!

I don’t get it, I remember (in GSC) when I was adding property, I selected “Domain” type, because it contains ALL URLs, because of that, here in Rank Math Analytics settings, in “Site” drop-down list, I was selected the first one! But because of this I didn’t have all my pages in Index Status Tab!?

I am looking forward for your help, what was wrong there?

Hello,

Thank you for your patience.

Yes, that should be the correct property to verify in your Google Search Console account.

The URL-prefix property (full URL with https) helps keep your sitemap in sync with Google Search Console as we submit it automatically for you.

In addition, the domain property (without https) won’t work correctly on some sections of the Analytics module such as the IndexStatus.
