    Hi,
I want to strip the base category of my product archives.
However there is no change after activating the option.
I cleared the cache several times, still the product categories are displayed.

    What to do?

    Thank you.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

You seem to have your product links controlled by your permalink settings at WP > Settings > Permalink.

Strip base category will only affect your product category ARCHIVE links by changing them for example: from /product-category/something/action-figures/

    to /something/action-figures/

Archives are the pages that list your products, not an individual product.

If you wish to make changes to your single product page (which we don’t recommend BTW), you will have to do that at WP > Settings > Permalinks. Though, you will then need to create a new redirect rule for every category on your website to correctly redirect them to the correct target URL post permalink change.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
