How to rank a PDF with RankMath

Hi there,

We would like to rank a PDF on google search results as we can see some of our competitors whitepaper PDFs are indexed as a PDF in search results.

When we search for even a direct link to a pdf, such as: https://www.quantifisolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Quantifi-Whitepaper-Relative-Value-Credit-ABA-1.pdf – this does not show any results.

Is there a way to set through RankMath that we want Google to index PDF’s in the media library? If so, is there a best practice to optimise the PDF itself for the best chance of being indexed correctly?

To debug the situation would you please follow these step:
In Google search console > URL inspection try adding the PDF URL and see if there’s any error pops up. If it does, please share the error screenshot. You can use tools like https://imgbb.com/ to share the image with us.

In fact, when I ran the query in Google using site: https://www.quantifisolutions.com/wp-content/uploads, I see many PDF’s are already indexed in Google https://i.rankmath.com/i/aDz0Uq

So, may be we just need little patience and it will be indexed in Google as well. Also, please do share the affected URL where the PDF is linked.
