Google does not recognize Rank Math SEO titles - Support

We use WordPress (with the page builder WP Bakery) together with Rank Math for our website http://www.mobilexag.de.

It seems that Google does not read the meta title entered at Rank Math, but uses the WordPress page title as meta title. I am aware that Google now sometimes replaces the Meta Title (as also described here https://rankmath.com/kb/different-meta-title-and-description/). However, the problem is different for us.

For example with this page:
https://www.mobilexag.de/branchen/field-service-management-fuer-unternehmen-aus-dem-anlagen-und-maschinenbau/

In Hey Meta the title entered at Rank Math is recognized:

In Google, however, the title is changed (shortened). Using an SEO plugin, the original title is displayed. And this is not the Rank Math Meta Title (“Field Service Management im Maschinenbau”), but the page title from WordPress (“Field Service Management für Unternehmen aus dem Anlagen- und Maschinenbau”).

What can we do here?

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

I visited URL mentioned above and I can see the Rank Math title and page title is different. This is something unusual as page title and Rank Math title are always same. So, I went ahead and checked few other pages and all of them have the same page title and Rank Math title.

As it’s not happening to other pages, I would recommend looking into the Meta Settings of that page and see if there’s any mis-match. If everything is same, would you please try to save the snippet settings once again and check if the issue persists.

usually in RankMath we use the page title as a placeholder in the Meta Title. That’s why both of them match.

In the case of the page in question, we have entered a different text in RankMath, but Google does not recognize it.

Hello,

It seems the title wasn’t generated by Rank Math. Please check if there are other plugins or your currently active theme that may be hindering Rank Math’s generation of meta title. To determine that, please follow this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

If the issue persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress login in the designated Sensitive Data section.

I have installed the plugin. Unfortunately, however, there is an error message when starting the troubleshooting, because currently no write permissions are provided on the server. Our web agency could try to find out which folder the plugin accesses and then assign the rights. However, this may require several hours of effort, which I do not want to invest.

Therefore, I have now entered you my WordPress access in the first post. Maybe you can find a solution about it.
