    HI, we have a site on WP Engine, we have found a correlation between a cron job run by rank math and our permalinks going down on a multisite network with WAF GES. The issue is only happening on production and i assume something with the WAF Caching and this cron are causing the issue.

    Is this a known issue? Can I safely disable the cron from running NGINX? Or will this cause issues? Thank you for the support.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    This cron job shouldn’t create any issues with the permalinks since its job is simply to parse the content of the post and see if there are any internal links on it and add them to the links table of our plugin for our Link Counter functionality.

    ​​​​​​​If you disable this cron, the feature will only update the data when you save a post or page directly from the WordPress backend and it won’t happen within the timeframe of the cron job.

    Besides that, there’s no other issue associated with removing this cron from the installation if you are sure this is the cause of the issues.
