Moving site from Squarespace to WP

I am currently working on moving my small blog hosted onSquarespace to WP/Dreamhost. I haven’t moved the domain over yet but thought I would get started in setting up RankMath so it would be ready when I flip the switch. I already have Google Analytics/Search Console set up for my older site. Do I need to wait to move the domain over for RankMath to recognize it? Currently it just sees the temporary Dreamhost URL. Sorry if this is a basic question. Still learning.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

Yes, you may need to move the domain name first in Rank Math as the Analytics need to connect using your website URL.

I would suggest setting up the Analytics section once you have fully migrated your site.
