Question regarding redirects

I’m not an SEO expert and I’m scared to do advanced mode so my question for you is how does rank math handle redirects while in easy mode? Are you automatically redirecting changed URLs I’m assuming at least hoping that’s what’s happening because I do change slugs every now and then when I don’t like what I just thought of the first time. I’m hoping you’re using some sort of algorithm to determine what type of redirect you would choose if it’s automatically done for easy mode.

If that’s not the case and this could drastically harm my SCO please let me know and I’ll do with my due diligence to try to learn more so I can use advanced mode

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

On Easy Mode you should be able to find the option Auto Post Redirect at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Redirection. After you do change a URL, a 301 redirection should automatically created at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Redirections.

If you wish to change the redirection type to 302 or 307, you can simply edit the redirection from there and set the type to your desired one.
