    hello

i want to remove google amp plugin as its causing slow pages and multiple problems and so i want to add redirection from amp pages to non amp mobile page before i remove the plugin.

when i look at search console or Aref any issues with amp have /?amp=1 or /?noamp=mobile in the URL. i was reading on a page in rank math that if it has a ? then i can just remove the plugin without redirect is this correct? or can i just add redirect anyway using rank math settings?

    thanks

    sami

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

Please note that if you’ve configured your website to use the query parameter ?amp for AMP pages and disabled the AMP plugin on your website, then no redirection is required. When a visitor lands on these pages, the query parameter will be ignored, and the browser will load the canonical non-amp page for your visitor. In this case, no 404 error will be captured, and you need not worry about duplicate content issues since the page points out the canonical URL.

You can follow the link below to learn more about redirect AMP pages to non-AMP pages:

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.
