Our plugin doesn’t manage the lang attribute. The lang attribute is usually added by the theme provider in the header file that gets loaded on the website.
Most themes use the function language_attributes() to do this. You can look at the source code of the page and look for the opening HTML tag to see the attribute present there. If for some reason the current theme you have is not adding that, you can add it manually to the header file of the theme inside the html tag.
