Can you please try following the steps below to see if that works for you?
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:

3. If the above steps doesn’t seem to work, kindly apply the following filter code to your site.
add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');

Hi, thank you. I have carried out steps 1 and 2 successfully. The sitemap hasn’t immediately updated, but perhaps it takes some time? Let me know, and if it should have updated straight away then I will try the filter as well.

This should take effect instantly after the sitemap is excluded from the cache. Please try the following #3 mentioned above, and see if that works for you.

In this case, you may either try accessing your theme files from cPanel/FTP or you may also try using a plugin like WP File Manager to access the files.
