Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
We checked the page you shared and the same image that is getting added to the OpenGraph meta tag from our plugin is the same as it’s showing in the Facebook Sharing Debugger and you can test the same from here: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/
If that’s not the featured image of the page but instead the fallback image, please make sure that the featured image is not in WebP format and as that is still not supported by the OpenGraph protocol.
You can also control the image from those pages by editing the following filter: https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#change-opengraph-image
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
Hi there!
Yes, in fact that image is the fallback image.
The featured image is .jpg and size is 3925×1729.
I’ve noticed that this error happens only on pages created by Geodirectory plugin, but common blog posts and pages work fine.
We’ve switched from Yoast, and this didn’t happen back then.
Hello,
Thank you for your patience as we look into why your website is displaying the incorrect opengraph image.
I checked the page source code and found that there were two og:images being added. Please check your Geodirectory plugin settings and disable its opengraph image generation. If that does not work, there may be another plugin or your theme generating the conflicting opengraph image. You can follow this guide to find the conflicting theme/plugin: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/.
Please also reduce the image size from 3925px to the recommended size of 1200px.
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have questions.
