    Hi RankMath,

I’m experiencing an issue on a Woocommerce site of mine using RankMath.

I waited for some updates, but none of them have fixed this bug.

This site has Indexable Tags, Brand (CPT) and Attribute Archives.

I started noticing that in GSC, these pages were showing and error.

Either “offers”, “review”, or “aggregateRating” should be specified

This was represented in the Schema Validation tools as well.

After further testing, I found that this issue applies to all product Archive pages or taxonomies. In the interim, I’ve had to mark all the pages as “Remove Snippet Data” in the “Titles & Meta” section of RankMath.

Hopefully, you can address this issue by displaying offers within this Schema.

  • Hello,

Thanks for contacting us, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that. We deeply apologize for the delay in response.

Product archive pages or taxonomies are not the actual product pages and which is why they shouldn’t contain the product schema in them. So, just as you did, the option Remove Snippet Data is logically the correct settings for those pages.

If the error is appearing on the actual product pages, please share the URLs with us here. So that we can check as well.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hi Md.,

    Thanks for pointing that out.

I had it disabled on my Category pages, and now I remember why. 🤦‍♂️

Is there a way for you to make this the default setting for new Woocommerce archive pages moving forward? As I don’t believe this is the case. These were new archive pages. I just noticed them in search console.

Second related question. Would you look at adding a more appropriate schema to archive pages in the future? Something like CollectionPage, which Shopify uses or ItemList.

    Hello,

If you have already enabled the option, that will be the default settings for your new archive pages as well. Please share the affected URLs if that’s not happening on your new category pages so we can check them.

On the other hand, our plugin adds the CollectionPage Schema markup on category pages by default. It should be suitable for most use cases since those pages have very thin content and there’s no need for any particular Schema markup.

Also, the Remove Data Snippet option only removes the product schema data from your archive pages as we have mentioned here:

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.
