    Rank Math free

    Hi there,
on one of my clients´website the post-sitemap doesnt work properly: it only shows two out of 10 posts (and it shows a deleted one furthermore).
I already have followed your suggestions: I put the code in the functions.php, I actualised permalinks and RankMath sitemap. But nothing helps: only 2 out of 10 posts will show in the post-sitemap and the deleted post is shown (what should not be the case). In the sensitive data, I will submit the website and the password for it.
    Thanks a lot for helping!
    Kind regards
    Eva-Maria

  • Hello,

I checked the site settings and I was able to replicate the issue there.

The issue is there because you’ve checked the Search engine visibility option at WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Reading. Disabling this option should resolve this issue in your case.

    SEV

As sitemap doesn’t include the URLs with noindex robots meta tag, no new URLs are being added to your sitemap.

In order to add them and update your sitemap, please uncheck the box following the mentioned path above. Once done, your sitemap should be updated with all other URLs almost instantly.

Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hi there,

ahh, I see. I gave you the admin data of the staging website.

I changed the senistive data, so you can have a look at the original website. It is free accessible for the search engines and the sitemap doesnt work properly though.

    Kind regards

    Hello,

Upon checking some of the posts, it seems that you have added a custom canonical URL that’s why it’s not getting added in your post sitemap:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/url-not-in-sitemap/#custom-canonical-url

Rank Math by default inserts the URL of your page as the canonical URL automatically to help search engines know that it is the “preferred” URL to rank for that page. Its purpose would be to inform search engines that it is a duplicate page and should not be indexed. It is assumed that the canonical URL is custom, and we do not include that in the sitemap.

However, I have removed the custom canonical in /messiewohnung-entruempeln/, and the post is already showing in the sitemap. You can follow the same steps for the rest of the posts to fix the issue.

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.

    Thanks a lot.
