    Hello, I’m working on my client site and using RankMath as SEO plugin. I tried to use RankMath built-in Instant Indexing plugin but unfortunately it gives error says “Failed to submit URLs. See details in the History tab”. When I check the history it gives 403 error. Moreover in settings, API key is exist but when I click “Check API”, it just go to the homepage instead opening API txt file.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

    To fix this, make sure the service account is listed as the Owner of the site in Search Console.

    Please follow the steps illustrated here to solve the issue:

    Also, if the text file is not being created automatically, you will need to manually add the text file to the root of your website files with the following name: [your_api_key].txt, and the content should also include the API key.

    Thank you Reinelle for your response, I did what you mention and I created the file and it opens now but problem persist, same 403 error. Kindly guide me if any other solution you have. Thanks

    Hello,

    Can you please try changing API Key to see if that fixes the issue for you? You can find the settings by heading over to Rank Math > Instant Indexing > IndexNow API settings > API Key > Change key.
