Schema UploadDate Field Error & Questions

    Hello,

    I have a How-To Video WordPress blog here… https://internettvdotcom.com/how-to-videos/

    I have many videos posted with written content.

    I know how to find Schema in the dashboard and when editing my posts.

    When I click the ‘Schema Generator’ button, do I choose Video for all my video article posts? I currently have all my video article posts selected for Article.

    My videos are not hosted on Youtube or Vimeo. I use Dubb hosting so do I select ‘video’ or keep it as ‘article’ in Schema?

    Also, in my Google Search Console, only two of my video article posts out of many have the same error as follows…

    Missing field “uploadDate”
    Items with this issue are invalid. Invalid items are not eligible for
    Google Search’s rich results

    Do I understand correctly the only way to correct the issue is to purchase the Rank Math Pro version to add the ‘uploadDate’ field? I’m not understanding why all my video article posts don’t have the same error in my Google Search Console.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math support today and bringing your concern to our attention.

    If your content is really focusing on video content, you can use video schema instead of the default article schema.

    Yes, the uploadDate field is available for the PRO versions. Rank Math Free should be able to fill the uploadDate using the current publication date of the post where the video schema is added.
