Meta description not showing... - Support

Hi,

I’ve set up Rank Math on my system. But my meta descriptions won’t show on my pages…RebelCityTour.com

I’ve configured all the meta on the editor page
I’ve checked console for JS errors
I’ve installed a default theme – not helping
I’ve run through troubleshooting mode, even with just Rank Math enabled issue persists.
I’ve checked my functions.php and header.php file for clashing code. None.
I’ve whitelisted the relevant files in WordFence and I’ve set Wordfence to learning mode.
I’ve just activated my site on Cloudflare, waiting for dns record update, will set rules later. Cloudflare wasn’t the issue.

Any ideas guys?

Hello,

I checked your website, the theme is conflicting with Rank Math.

The meta description and other meta tags are added to the page source when the default theme is active.

Check the screencast in the sensitive data section.

Please get in touch with the theme provider and inform them about the issue, they should be able to fix it.

Hi RM,

Thanks. I created my own custom theme that’s kinda grafted on to the WordPress backend ie. i wrote all the HTML/CSS/JS etc…

I’m going to have to fix this issue personally. Do you have any docs or code from your git repo that could make my life easier?

How would i go about approaching this issue? And no, i’m not going to switch themes…

I take it, the code review wasn’t a success? I’d have no problem buying a $49 dollar license if you were able to either fix this?

Hello,

Please note that the WordPress function wp_head() needs to be initialized for Rank Math to generate the necessary meta tags.

Ensure that the said function is added to your custom theme.
