Hello,
Most of my sites show no data from the previous month, as shown in the screenshot.
Do these accounts need to be set to GA4 to show increases or decreases from the previous month?
-
Hello,
Thanks for contacting us, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
No, GA4 is not mandatory to switch for now, as Rank Math still provides support for integrating with Universal Analytics as well as Google Analytics 4. It’s completely your wish if you want to switch to GA4 or not.
However, please make sure that you’ve created GA account and property and connected them to Rank Math properly.
If you can see data on GA but not in Rank Math, please follow the steps I’ve mentioned below:
#1 ~ Remove Rank Math’s access from Google
Please remove RankMath’s app from your Google apps permissions:
https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
#2 ~ Re-connect to regenerate auth token from Google
After that, reconnect the Google account again, to regenerate the auth token from Google, by going to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics and configure the Search Console and Analytics settings again:
#3 ~ Grant all necessary permissions
Kindly check all necessary checkboxes to allow Rank Math to access some of the Google Services. Please check my screenshot below for reference:
#4 ~ Setup Analytics
Once the above process is done, please follow the URL below to setup Rank Math Analytics properly:
https://rankmath.com/kb/connect-your-google-account/#num-3-connect-to-search-consoleLet us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Thank you for the reply. I did that, do I need to wait a month to see results?
Hello,
Please head over to to WordPress dashboard > Tools > Scheduled Actions > Pending.
or you can try visiting the following URL:
https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin/tools.php?page=action-scheduler&status=pending
Run the
rank_math/analytics/data_fetch
scheduled action and wait for the data fetch to complete. This is how it should look like:
Once done, you should be able to see the updated data on your dashboard.
Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Ok i did that and cleared website and browser cache but I still see zeros in the dashboard.
Hello,
Please check if cron jobs are working on your website or not, you can follow this guide to check that: https://rankmath.com/kb/analytics-issues/#num-2-check-the-cron-job
In order to fetch the data correctly and consistently, you need to have the cron jobs working and enabled in your installation.
If the cron jobs are working, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
It’s working now, I guess it just needed some time. That’s all then thank you!
