    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math for help with your product category and subcategory URL changes.

Rank Math only creates a redirect for the currently edited slug and does not create redirects for parent or child slugs. In WooCommerce any parent slug works including the old parent slug or even random text for example:
    https://www.domain.com/product-category/random-text/y-subcategory/
If the category pages are set to noindex, you can safely ignore the slug structure as it does not affect your SEO. If the category pages are set to index, please check that the canonical URL has the correct parent/child structure.

Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have questions.

But redirects should keep that in mind
All url changes should be considered in plugin redirects to avoid any SEO issues
If I change parent and child, there will be a case that the parent will not be taken into account in the redirects, in which case I have to set that direction manually
Just try to change any parent and child, then check your redirects.

    Hello,

Currently, the auto-redirect option only works for the posts/taxonomies you edit the URL for. It doesn’t create redirections for child pages or subcategory pages. We have shared your suggestion with the devs. If your suggestion is something we decide to implement in our plugin, we will be sure to let you know.

Let us know if you need any other assistance.
