Sorry, to clarify my question I’d like to know how to change the “Winejobs.uk” above the url to “Wine Jobs UK”.
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math for help with setting the title of your website.
Please follow this guide to set the SEO meta title and description for your website: https://rankmath.com/kb/seo-meta-tags/
Please note that Google may ignore the default meta title set on your page for other content as explained in the following article: https://rankmath.com/kb/different-meta-title-and-description/
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have questions.
Hi Nigel,
Thanks for replying. I’ve looked at those links (which are very helpful) but I don’t think they answer my question.
My site title and description are pulling through into the search result correctly (ie they match what Ive input in “title” and “description” in the snippet editor).
It’s the text you can see above the url in the search results that I’m trying to change. This isn’t the title or the description.
Here’s a screenshot with the text circled:
Hello,
Thank you for your patience as we look into how to change the text that appears above your site URL in the search results snippet.
The text is an experimental feature which displays the website title above search results. Google has not revealed how they set the text. Since it is an experimental feature, you can safely ignore it. You can refer to the following article for more information: https://www.seroundtable.com/google-snippet-site-name-34040.html
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have questions.
Hello,
I am happy that we could address your concern. Do you have any other questions or do you want us to mark this as solved?
Thank you.
That’s very helpful thank you. And it explains why sometimes it’s there and other times it isn’t.
I see someone in the comments in that link has the same question as me as well – hopefully Google provide more information on where it’s being pulled from.
Hello,
If you have any questions in the future, please feel free to create a new forum topic, and it will be our pleasure to assist you again.
Thank you.
