Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.
This is a form of URL encoding and is used in encoding special characters in the URL parameter values. The URL will still read as the same; whether you use []
or %5B%5D
, the will open the same page and should not affect your redirection.
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
It seems that something about it is not working.
Could it be the from address? This: search_prod.aspx?id=CAT2282016r706. I have it all in there correct, other redirects are working, but doing these product types are not working. Just kicks me back to the homepage.
yea, it seems to be something up with the “?”, would that make it not work?
I’ve tried Ends With and Contains as well and just put in the CAT2282016r706 no luck at all…
as soon as I take the “?” out, it works fine. but in order for it to be effective, it needs to have the ? in it.
I should also note that I have inserted the “Filter to disable appending the query string in the redirection URL.” in my functions.php.
Hi Teddy,
We are sorry but the URLs with query strings are not available in Rank Math.
If it is important, you can disable the Redirection module in Rank Math and use some other redirection plugin for the same.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
