  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I’ve checked the image results for the URL you’ve shared with us and it’s seems to be working fine without showing any unexpected images on Google SERPs/Google images.

Here are few screenshot URLs I’ve shared below for your reference:

Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Hi, thank you for your reply. I think maybe this example is now showing the right image after I let Google crawl the page. But there are still a lot of wrong images that are shown.
Maybe you can see this one: https://www.google.com/search?q=gehaakte+kroonluchter+yuultje&sxsrf=ALiCzsb9xYcz55xDRtjlIHcpJwa1CxWrng:1664456268899&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjGi5vlhrr6AhUs_7sIHcO-AbUQ_AUoAXoECAEQAw&biw=1715&bih=1222&dpr=1#imgrc=YN-0GuMpLU0boM

It should be the main image on https://huisjevankatoen.nl/product/gehaakte-kroonluchter-yuultje/

In the metadata the right image is set: <meta property=”og:image” content=”https://huisjevankatoen.nl/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/De-leukste-haak-en-macrame-webshop-van-Nederland-28.png&#8221; />

Maybe I should Google recrawl this url as well to fix it, but what about all the other wrong images. How to get a list or something for the urls’ that need to be recrawled? And I don’t even know if this is really the solution, maybe it’s just coincedence that the previous example now seem to look okay.

What are youre thougths on this?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

I’ve checked all URLs you’ve shared with us and it seems to be working as expected.

    1. When you’re performing a Google search regarding your products, it’s basically searching for the keywords you’ve used to search. After clicking on your site’s image, you should be able to explore a lot more other images, which Google showing as Related images. If you look closely, you’ll notice that, Google showing those image which have at least one keyword similar with your search. To find out the exact images for your product URLs, you’ll need to use advanced search operator like site:. Here is a screenshot for your reference:

    2. Possibly, you are having some misconception regarding meta property og:image. og:image property is basically for previewing a image against your URL on social media. So, it shouldn’t not appear while you’re searching for them on Google. You may check this URL to learn more on this issue:

You may also try visiting the URL below to learn about og:iamge property:

However, I’ve checked for your og:image property if it’s working or not, and found it’s working perfectly fine. Here is a screenshot for your reference:

    3. I’ve checked the URL you’ve shared on Google SERPs and it seems to be the URL was cached by Google on 3rd October, 2022. So, in my opinion, you won’t need to re-crawl the URL again.

Hope the explanation above will be helpful, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thank you.

Hi Md. Sakib Khandaker, thank you so much for your reply. It took me some time to check if this ‘wrong’ image is somehow related to the product. But it isn’t. There are no keywords that are similar or something like that. The only thing that links these two together is that they are products from the same webshop. It is happeing with some other popular products from this shop as well. I’m not sure if we can do anything about this, but it’s really worth checking out, so I have posted a question on the Google forum as well. If you have any extra information on possibilities to proceed, please let me know it is really really appreciated. Otherwise this topic can be marked as resolved. Thank you so much!

    Hello,

    Good to see you again.

Google may show various results for the keywords that you used to search on Google. For example, If you search for Content AI Rank Math on Google, Google may not show you specifically only about content AI and Rank Math. It may show you other relevant content as well for better user experience, as It’s solely decided by Google what they want to show on SERPs.

But search results can be specified and precised by using some advanced search operators like site:, inurl:, intitle:, intext: and lot more other.

Here you can find more advanced search operators for Google: https://ahrefs.com/blog/google-advanced-search-operators/

You may try using site:https://yourdomain.com/your-product/slug this format to search on Google to see specific images or results on SERPs. If you see any unusual images/results even after using advanced search operators, please let us know.

Hope this clarify your doubts. You may mark this ticket as Resolved, if you feel the issue is resolved for you.

Please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
