Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Rank Math looks for both the primary focus keyword and secondary focus keywords to determine your keyword density that might be why you are seeing a higher number there.
You can read more about it here:

Do note that the scores and guidelines are just for your reference, you do not need to follow them religiously.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
So the focus keyword I set is “primary focus keyword” ? And Rank Math could analyze other keywords related to this primary keyword as “secondary focus keywords”. Is it right? Thanks
Hello,
Yes, the first keyword is primary keyword, while the rest of the keywords are secondary keywords. The keyword density calculation includes both primary and secondary keywords. You can reduce keyword density by removing some of the less important keywords or/and increasing the content length/text count
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have questions.
However, I only set one keyword in this post.
https://rankmath.com/kb/score-100-in-tests/#keyword-density-primary-and-secondary-focus-keywords
The only one keyword is “毕业工签”.
“Keyword Density is 7.14 which is high, the Focus Keyword and combination appears 1 times.”
I’m guessing because the article has a small word count, the keyword density will be high even if the keyword only appears one time.
Hello,
Yes, since you have a small word count and you have used Chinese characters which also consist of a small amount of “texts”, the keyword density is high.
In this case, you can safely ignore this test as this will not affect your SEO ranking.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
