Google can not proces page_sitemap.xml

    Dear support,

    I submitted /sitemap_index.xml to Google and for a few months it worked fine. But since a week or so I get an error on the /page_sitemap: Can not process (but in Dutch). The other 3 sitemaps are marked “Success”.

    What could cause this error? I have checked all the tutorials, re-created permalinks, excluded sitemap from cache and purged cache, but the error is still there, see screen shot.

    Is there anything else I should do?

    The couldn’t fetch error, is in most cases simply due to a bug in the Search Console.
